A large ground floor extension for a leading independent hairdressers

The owners of Seckington’s, one of Northampton’s leading independent hairdressers, were looking to build a large ground floor extension and extend the first floor above in their commercial premises. The salon is located on a busy terraced main road in central Northampton meaning that our options were limited especially as the salon needed to still be operating throughout the development.

We had to work closely with the owners to avoid disruption to the business as they couldn’t close down for an extended period of time and let down their loyal client base. For these reasons, we decided to use a timber frame construction with brick slips externally which allowed the project to be watertight quicker and therefor speed up the internal works. This very difficult project was finished on time and on budget.
